Khuli Chana Reveals The Amapiano Star Mzansi Suggested He Should Work With On His Next Amapiano Single. South African rapper Khuli Chana dropped his first single of 2021 titled Buyile. The banger was produced by amapiano mainstay Tyler ICU and features Lady Du and Stino Le Thwenny. Khuli Chana, aka Khuli Yano, returns after a two-year hiatus with a fresh single that marries kwaito and amapiano instrumentation with his unmatched flow.
Follwoing the success of his first amapiano hit single, Khuli Chana is ready to release yet another yanos banger. Taking to social media, the star asked his fans who they think should produce his next piano single coming off from his forthcoming album. He also suggested Vigro Deep. See tweet:
The fans have voted and results are in. On his suggestion to work with Vigro, the star received 92% of votes to work with him. Although Khuli was quite surprised on the results, Mzansi are anticipating that the two work together. See tweet:
Whatever sound that becomes popular, Khuli says there is absolutely nothing wrong with an artists experimenting with it. Speaking on tapping into the amapiano scene, Khuli said: “I think as a musician you need to be free and open minded and to be fun. What I found was that hip-hop was not fun for me anymore. The culture of politics, always competing, competition that is not healthy. Who has got more money than who to egos.”
Now, he is riding the amapiano wave and loving it. His new single on people’s lips is Buyile and it has done exactly what he thought it would. “So, people should not shiver at thought of me doing amapiano, they talk about amapiano like it is a place,” he says with a laugh. I needed a street anthem. I wanted a comeback song,” he added.
