JazziQ Speaks About The Motive Behind His Restaurant Junk Punk. Alexandra-born Mr JazziQ first emerged as one-half of JazziDisciples, a South African DJ/producer duo which released a slate of projects that played an important role in Amapiano’s rapid journey from the township into the heart of the mainstream. And now, in 2021, Tumelo Manyoni has his eyes on a bigger prize: using his homegrown success to take over the global music scene. Besides music and cars, the star is also a food fanatic executives his love for food at his restaurant called ‘Junk Park’.
Speaking on the motive behind ‘Junk Park’, JazziQ said: “The name Junk Park is self explanatory, I sell Junk. The reason started this was not because of the struggle but because of the amount that people have for the love of food and to feed those Instagram SBWL vibes. So I saw a gap and sat down with my partner and went ahead with it So Junk Park is a home for the junkies. So at Junk park, we are all big on chicken and fries, we are all about big portions. So when you leave here you must feel that you’re fed. For us it was about feeding the cravings, and being a restaurant where you can eat with your hands. By the way, Junk Park is a double story(he laughs together with Uncle Vuzi).”
Junk Park is the hotspot for all junk food lovers and the restaurant is known not just for the authentic food it serves but for the famous ‘Volcano Fries’. “Junk Park is like a one stop shop for junk, your fries, sweets, ice cream and thigs like that. The idea of the vibe will be materialised properly after the lockdown,” he added.
