Is Big Xhosa Transitioning From Hip Hop To Amapiano? Rapper Big Xhosa aka SOS has become the talk of the town who caused a lot of traffic on social media when he came onto the scene by dropping a diss track, targeting almost all known and already established rappers such as Nasty C, Cassper Nyovest, Shane Eagle, and a few others. Following the diss track, the rapper gained a huge following and a lot of attention as Mzansi was waiting to see what else the star has up his sleeve moving forward.
Big Xhosa got his big break, so to speak, with his viral video of him using comparative adjectives and has been branded as a rap comedian; someone who raps but uses bouts of comedy in their raps. He has gained much attention being in the South African Hip Hop space, but it seems the star is now ready to explore new sounds. Taking to social media, he shared that he had featured on an amapiano track by local artist HKS titled ‘BOYZ, BOYZA, BOYZEST. In his tweet, he wrote: “They featured uBig Xhosa on Amapiano.” See tweet:
The star is known for taking shots at every rapper out there except his name inspiration Big Zulu and AKA. Some people are speculating that Big Xhosa did not opt to diss AKA because he is still mourning the untimely passing of his fiancé. In his diss track he points out flaws within the South African rap scene. Yet his newly ignited beef with half of South Africa’s hip hop industry is anything but funny. He released an impromptu track titled ‘Ninyile’ in which he sampled the iconic Tupac diss track titled “ hit em up” at the beginning he opens with his signature tagline best. With amapiano being the biggest sound in mzansi at the moment, fans are pleased to see the star being versatile.
