DJ Maphorisa Calls For Fans To ‘Stop Black Hate’ After Critics Claim He Wants To Exploit De Mthuda. Themba Sonnyboy Sekowe, popularly known by his stage name DJ Maphorisa, is a South African record producer, DJ and vocalist. He has become one of amapiano pioneers throughout the years amapiano has been popular. He is mostly known for his huge collaboration with Kabza De Small as ‘Scorpion Kings’. Scorpion Kings changed the face of Amapiano as a commercial genre in 2019.
Maphorisa has urged people to ‘stop black hate’. The star took to Facebook saying he is on a mission to work with De Mthuda, and a few days later he wrote, “Please tell De Mthuda to send beats for Madumane been waiting.” The post caused a lot of stir as critics rose claiming Maphorisa wants to scam De Mthuda next like he did to Kabza.
De Mthuda is one of the amapiano pioneers been who has been the talk of town recently following his famous hit singles John Wick, and Abekho Ready. He is better known for his caption “There is no King” which started trending on social media after Kabza de small dropped his last debut project which he gave a dominating title “I am the king of amapiano album“, since then Mthuda have stepped up his game and thus proving the world wrong as he know the potential he has, and some of his efforts will be seen on some of his latest EP ‘Aces of Spades’.
DJ Maphorisa couldn’t sit back and watch his name being dragged through the mud without saying something. Phori clapped back at critics saying, “wat the fuck is wrong with people so i cnt make music with De Mthuda??????? Lanya Futsek.”
In 2020 last year, Maphorisa was accused of exploiting Kabza De Small who is widely hailed as a pioneer of the amapiano movement. As the sound became more mainstream, so did Kabza’s name grow. “I remember people wanted me n Kabza to separate so badly cause they could see our future was too bright, saying Maphorisa is using Kabza look now
