Casper Nyovest Explains To A Fan Why His Biggest Song At The Moment Is Not Number 1 On Radio. With the transition that rapper Cassper Nyovest made from Hip Hop to amapiano, the star is already topping charts. Casper announced that he is joining the amapiano train, also revealing that he is working on an amapiano album set to be dropped this year. The rapper dropped ‘Angisho’ guys produced by Abidoza featuring Lady du; and later dropped ‘Siyathandana’ also produced by Abidoza and featuring Boohle.
A fan took to social media asking Cassper why his biggest amapiano song ‘Siyathandana’ is topping charts but not number 1 on radio. “Im just a bit concerned Cass how come Siyathandana is the biggest song in the land but its not number one in all the radio stations in SA. You’ll find unpopular songs in a radio’s top 5 wtf! Kanti how do these radio stations operate what is the criteria for topping a radio chart?,” the fan asked.
Although Cassper has been in the game for quite some time now, he revealed that he has never had a number 1 song on radio. “Never had a number 1 song on Radio in my career. With so many big songs including Siyathandana, not once. Shout out to the radio stations that are giving the song the airplay it deserves. I am loved and supported by the people doe. They keep me going so that’s what we celebrate.”
The mega genre-crossing rapper, singer and producer also shared the name of his sixth album and it is titled Short And Sweet 2.0. Short and Sweet 2.0 is the sequel to Cassper’s 2018 release of the same name, and follows the powerful 21-track Any Minute Now album which dropped in September last year. Cassper’s fans will still have to wait a little longer for the 10-tracked Short And Sweet 2.0 album, set for release on Friday, July 16, 2021. The album is currently available for pre-save on Spotify and Apple Music.
