Musa Keys Celebrates ‘Vula Mlomo’ Latest Major Achievement

Musa Keys Celebrates ‘Vula Mlomo’ Latest Major Achievement. South Africa’s township groove of amapiano has entertained keen ears for almost a decade now, and the genre’s rapid growth is continuously being driven by hundreds of hopeful producers who have persistently revolutionised the sound and produce endless stream of amapiano tracks.

With the popularity of amapiano, many artists and record producers progressed in the amapiano scene releasing timeless music. Record producer Musa Keys who have been trending lately dropped an amapiano banger titled ‘Vula Mlomo’ where he featured Sir Trill and Nobantu Vilakazi.

The star is currently celebrating a huge milestone that is single ‘Vula Mlomo’ has reached. It has been played for 3.2 million times and viewed 3 million times on YouTube. ‘Vula Mlomo’ has kept Mzansi on their dance feet during the pandemic. The song was released about three months ago however, it is already a to chatting single.

“Vula Mlomo” was on high demand for many months since the track was first played on one of his live mixtape sessions as he trilled the fans thus sounding an awareness of protecting yourself against COVID-19. Music In Africa has compiled a playlist of the top amapiano tunes currently in high rotation, some of which were strategically released late last year.

As a result of the constant supply and growing keen ears of listeners, amapiano is now the biggest music genre in South Africa in terms of consumption. And its hits have been supplied by the likes of Musa Keys, Sir Trills and Nobantu Vilakazi, who worked on ‘Vula Mlomo’, including other amapiano pioneers. The sub-genre has now sparked the attention of big African names such as Davido and Rema, as well as US superstar Drake who is expected to release his take on amapiano this year.
