Mpura Mpura Responds To Allegations That ‘Umsebenzi Wethu” Is A Diss. ‘Umsebenzi Wethu’ by Mpura and Busta 929 became one of the greatest amapiano hits to ever be released. While people were still enjoying the song and the dance challenge it created, there are theories around some of the verses by Mpura.

Mpura has cleared the rumours and came out to break his silence on the matter. “I like venting and being emotional and with that being, everything I said on Umsebenzi Wethu is personal and true. Also on the song called ‘Impilo Yase Sandton’ about a father that left a mother of 4 kids. Everything I said there the truth. People like saying my verse on ‘Umsebenzi Wethu is a diss and it’s not,” Mpura said.

According to MacG on his podcast and chill, Josiah left the “guys” for a woman.”On ‘Umsebenzi Wethu’ on Mpura’s second verse, he jabs about Josiah saying you thought we were gonna be down and out, but look at us now we f***ing sh*t up, and talking about a baby,” MacG said. This comes after the music duo JazziDisciples split last year 2020 to focus on their solo music careers.

Some social media users suggest the diss track was aimed at Josiah Discipless, suggesting that the JazziDisciples break up could’ve been caused by a woman. MacG further went on to say: “Jazzi and Josiah were dating the same girl, knowingly, and then Josiah caught feelings and that happens to be his baby mama. So Josiah caught feelings and decided to tell the guys that he wants to focus on his baby mama and his family and take a break from music. The guys were pissed since Josiah was the engine. The song ‘Mama’ by Josiah was a song about his baby mama because she is into the streets. So the song is Josiah’s cry for help because his baby mama is into blessers and during lockdown, she left him with the kid and went to back to the streets.
