TTM are currently in 14th-place, just one point ahead of 15th-placed Chippa United who have played one more match. Chippa United have featured in the top-flight of South African football since 2012, while TTM are enjoying their first season having bought the status of now defunct Bidvest Wits in mid-2020. The winners receive prize money of R7 million and also qualify for the next season’s CAF Confederation Cup, while the losers will walk away R2.5 million richer.
