Drakes Manager Continues To Show Kabza, Tresor & Maphorisa Love. South African amapiano heavyweights Scorpion Kings consisting of Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa, and Congolese-born Afropop singer Tresor have released a collaborative amapiano album titled Rumble in the Jungle. The album has made waves both locally and internationally. The trio have now earned the international recognition they have been yearning for, especially to introduce amapiano to the world.

The trio recently appeared on OVO Sound Radio and dished a new mix titled “OVO Sound Radio Mix 2021”. This is just as impressive as all their other offerings, and they continue to receive love and a shout-out from Drake’s Ovo Sound Radio. Drakes Manager, a Lebanese-Canadian by the name of Oliver El-Khatib continues to show love to Kabza De Small, DJ Maphorisa and Tresor; as he posted a video of them introducing themselves and their joint album. He posted the video of the trio drifting captioned: “Rumble in the Jungle. 10PM EST tonight on OVO Sound Radio.” See post below:

Speaking on the colaboration with Scorpion Kings and venturing into amapiano, Tresor said: “This particular album is special for me because it represents a bold statement of pride in the diversity of our culture as Africans, embracing the rich musical landscape of our home. We went back to the source and tapped into sounds from all over the continent for this album.”

“Rumble in the Jungle is a sonic roar, a cultural bridge breaking all barriers and bringing our people together through music. We are fusing the incredible South African rhythm of amapiano with Swahili, French and Congolese sounds and melodies, as well as West African chants with Afrobeats elements. It’s boldly authentic, unapologetic, energetic and raw,” Tresor added.

DJ Maphorisa said: “This album is a gift to Africa. We are bringing the amapiano sound to the continent. We loved working on it and are excited for Africa and the world to hear it.”
