South African singer and songwriter Tyla, who broke the internet after her hit single ‘Getting Late’ has been up to a lot making her name in the music industry. From racking up nearly 2 million views independently to receiving glowing early praise from i-D, PAPER Magazine. The 19-year-old shot to fame when she dropped an amapiano track which featured Kooldrink.
‘Getting Late’ hit maker has signed under Epic records, an American record label owned by Sony Music Entertainment, a subsidiary of Sony Corporation of America, and the North American division of Japanese conglomerate Sony. Sonymusicafrica announced the news, see post.

With other African creatives, I wanna bring Africa to the world and the world to Africa. In just one month, the music video racked up over 930K YouTube views and spawned reels of Tik Tok content – a platform where Tyla is rapidly rising, with over 726K followers and over 10.6 million likes.
