10 Things You Should Know About Mas Musiq. Mas Musiq has become one of the most-loved DJs in South Africa. Ever since he made his debut in the music industry, he has significantly impacted the amapian scene. He has had the opportunity to work with renowned amapiano artists like DJ Maphorisa, Kabza De Smal, Shasha, Focalistic, and to mention a few. He also released three albums in 2020.

Here are 10 things you should know about Mas Musiq:

1 Mas Musiq’s real name is Thabo Ngubane and he was born in Tembisa.

2 He was born on 14th August 1997 in Tembisa, South Africa. He spent the better part of his life in the region before he relocated to Midrand, where he currently stays.

3 He is currently 23 years old, turning 24 in August.

4 As a young boy, he always dreamt of creating music; hence, he decided to make his dream come true by enrolling at The Academy of Sound Engineering to study music.

5 Mas Musiq was lucky as DJ Maphorisa spotted him and his talent; hence, he signed him to Blaq Bog Music in 2019.

6 After graduating from the academy and landing an opportunity at DJ Maphorisa’s record label, he embarked on his career. He joined Mlindo The Vocalist, Shasha, Daliwonga, Bontle Smith, and Zingah, who were also signed to the brand.

7 Zaka is one of the bangers he worked on in 2020, and it features talented musos like Aymos, DJ Maphorisa, and Kabza De Small. The Amapiano hit received so much love from Mzansi and Africa at large. It has amassed over 3.7 million views on YouTube.

8 Bambelela is one of his most recent projects, and it featured Aymos, DJ Maphorisa, and Kabza De Small. The song’s official video was released in November 2020, and so far it is one of the hottest amapiano tunes.

9 Mas Musiq’s net worth is reportedly estimated to be US$100 000.

10  In 2020, Mas Musiq returned to his hometown with fulfilled dreams of becoming a musical superstar.
