Kamo Mphela’s Single ‘Nkulunkulu’ Reaches Major Milestone One Week After Its Release. South African amapiano vocalist and dancer Kamo Mphela is on another level as her hit single Nkulunkulu and its music video which dropped about a week ago has reached a major career milestone for Kamo. Four days after the video dropped it got over half million and the singer was excited by the love and support she continues to receive from her fans.
‘Nkulunkulu’ has now ammassed over 1 million views on YouTube and one week was all it needed to gain such a huge number of streams. The song and its accompanying visuals serve as her first official song and release under her company, Kamo Mphela Entertainment. Taking to social media, Kamo expressed her gratitude to her fans as she announced the news. “#nkulunkulu music video hit 1 million views on YouTube in a week . My first baby thank you so much,” she posted.
‘Nkulunkulu’ is the lead single and a title track in her upcoming EP, which is expected to drop on the 9th of April 2021. The 4-track EP features some of amapiano’s biggest names including Vigro Deep, MFR Souls, Reece Madlisa, Zuma, Major League DJz and more. Kamo has been teasing the song since last year November 2020 and finally the long-awaited single has dropped and being well received by her fans and music lovers. “Nkulunkulu” translated in English means to God, and the song is about a prayer for wealth, happiness and a life full of blessings and prosperity.
Kamo performed the songs from her forthcoming EP at a tour in Nairobi, Kenya. In addition, she also recently choreographed Spotify’s African Heat global campaign, which had dancers from Lagos, Accra, London, New York City, as well as her crew’s fiery amapiano dance moves.
