DBN Gogo’s Balcony Mix Hit 1 Million Views. Covid-19 lockdown negatively affected musicians as large and live gatherings were prohibited, many artists were left with no means of making money. While Major League DJz admit to have taken a knock like many event organisers, to combat for the disruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, they have started a YouTube web-series Amapiano Live Balcony Mix Africa that sees them performing live sets. The recent web-series features Dbn Gogo.

Dbn Gogo did a live balcony mix three weeks ago and that was all the time it needed to reach 1 million views on YouTube. The live mix received a lot of feedback as her fans were loving her set with Major League twins. Taking to social media Dbn Gogo was beaming with excitement as she shared the news with the twins and fans captioned: “We really did it @MAJORLEAGUEDJZ.”

The star has been killing it on decks since her viral mix on Lockdown Houseparty and from then she has been booked and busy. Dbn Gogo has recently been announced as one of the DJs on the Yam Carnival to take place in London. She will be performing alongside Nigerian afrobeats star Davido and American singer Kehlani. The South African DJ will be representing the country in London with her amapiano sets.

Gogo is relatively new in the business behind the decks, after starting to deejay five years ago. “It’s something I’ve always wanted to do. I’ve always just been very musical. I used to play the piano, sing, dance, I used to do everything; it was just one of those things I hadn’t tried. It kind of sort of found me,” she says.
